Custom Cupola With Shingles
Step by Step
This custom shingled cupola was installed on a garage attached to a cape-style house. The build ran in five stages.
- The saddle, which gets installed and flashed to the roof.
- The base is installed, complete with a generous 8″ access hole with PVC plug for ease of wiring and installation.
- The window unit, complete with wiring for a hanging lantern, is installed next.
- The pre-roofed top goes on, shingled to match the house. Copper was also an option, but the homeowner preferred this look.
- The cupola is crated with care, securely packaged and shipped to the job site.
