Pent Roof on Historic House
The old pent roof on this house was worn out, full of rot and bees. We designed a new roof in our CAD program that uses doubled 3/4″ plywood “trusses” that were CNC cut on our Busellato Jet. CNC-cut forms are identical, holding tolerances far better than it is possible to achieve on the site.
The trusses allowed for a super-fast install and laser-straight fascia lines, as built-in registration notches and spacing kept everything in the correct position.
Price was comparable to a more conventional method, but this technique added the benefits of less site installation time, lower labour costs, and it was much easier to keep the framing perfectly straight.
